ESG Initiatives

Ecovadis

For the second consecutive year, Sagitta has successfully completed the evaluation process of its sustainability practices with EcoVadis, a global leader in business sustainability assessment and ratings.

The assessment analyzed numerous ESG criteria across four key areas – Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement – evaluated through the EcoVadis questionnaire.

Thanks to the results achieved, Sagitta ranks again among the top 15% of companies assessed globally and has been awarded the Silver Medal, confirming last year’s result. This recognition reflects our continued progress on the path toward sustainability and represents an important milestone for the entire team.

The EcoVadis rating not only validates our commitments and initiatives but also provides a concrete roadmap to further improve our overall ESG impact.

PRI

Further Demonstrating its Commitment to ESG, since June 2023, Sagitta SGR has been a member of the UN-supported PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment), an international network of signatories supported by the United Nations. This network was established to understand the impact of ESG issues on investments and to assist in integrating these aspects into investment decisions.

Sagitta has committed to embracing and implementing the six UN PRI principles and related investment guidelines within its investment process. It has therefore defined the necessary steps for preparing data and infrastructure for its first reporting exercise, which was carried out on a voluntary basis in July 2024 (based on 2023 data).

In July 2025, Sagitta completed the PRI questionnaire based on 2024 data and received the following reports from the PRI:

  • The Public Transparency Report, which does not include a score and is available on the PRI website, where the Public Transparency Reports of all PRI signatories can be consulted.

  • The Private Assessment Report, which provides a score for each module/asset class. In line with last year’s results, we obtained 3 out of 5 stars in two modules and 4 out of 5 stars in two other modules. In two modules (Private Debt and Infrastructure), we also recorded an increase in the score compared to the previous year, although we remain within the same scoring bucket.

Although there are still areas for improvement — some of which are already within our scope of action (e.g., stewardship, public sustainability reporting, etc.) — this represents an excellent result that confirms last year’s positioning and acknowledges the improvements made in terms of governance and ESG oversight within the investment process.

Certification Great Place to Work

Sagitta SGR has been recognized as an excellent workplace by Great Place to Work® in both 2024 and 2025.

The Great Place to Work® certification, awarded by the organization of the same name — specialized in analyzing workplace experience, supporting improvements in organizational performance, and employer branding — recognizes Sagitta as a leading organization within the labor market. The certification reflects significant results across all the “pillars” assessed: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie, based on a questionnaire completed by all employees.

The certification represents an important achievement at a time when Sagitta has been strongly committed to strengthening its operational structure with increasingly specialized and vertically focused expertise. Thanks to the professionalism and constant dedication of its colleagues — now a team of nearly 50 people — Sagitta has been experiencing a further phase of growth, ready to achieve further ambitious goals.

Biorfarm & Sagitta SGR

Adopting a tree: our path to sustainability starts from the roots. At Sagitta SGR we have launched a structured program of actions in line with the sustainability principles defined by the 2030 Agenda. Among these initiatives, a kiind of attention to our Earth could not be missing, which nourishes us, among other things, with its fruits.

Hence the decision to adopt a tree for each of our colleagues who, in this way, will become “virtual growers” of fruit plants distributed throughout our territory and will follow their growth, supporting farmers in their mission to protect the environment .

Our headquarter is sustainable

Our attention to sustainability was also a main driver in the choice of the new Sagitta SGR offices.

In addition to being energy class A, the building is equipped with a lighting system with brightness adjustment based on external light and with remote control, which allows the lights to be switched off automatically if the offices are completely empty.

Furthermore, it is equipped with an air recirculation system with floor and ceiling diffusers, which, in addition to keeping the air clean, also allows for adequate absorption of CO2, that is an issue increasingly at the center of our daily lives. Finally the building has the Leed Gold and Well Silver certifications

Leed Gold certification is a voluntary certification system developed by the internationally recognized US Green Building Council (USGBC) for the classification and certification of the eco-sustainability of buildings.

It covers the entire life cycle of the building itself, from design to construction, from management to maintenance.

This certification is particularly coveted for its complete and integrated approach to environmental and energy sustainability, also taking into account the health aspects for the occupants.

WELL Silver certification was launched in 2014 by the International WELL Building Institute™, after 6 years of research and development, and is the first system to define the parameters by which buildings can improve our lives, focusing on people’s comfort.
