Obton Italy Fund

The Obton Italy Fund is a closed-end, multi-compartment real estate fund reserved for professional investors, dedicated to renewable energy infrastructure. The fund’s subscribers belong to the Obton Group, one of Europe’s most active infrastructure players in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on investments in photovoltaic plants.

The Obton Italy Fund has been reclassified from Article 6 to Article 8 under the SFDR regulation, becoming the first ESG-compliant fund of Sagitta SGR—confirming the SGR’s growing commitment to ESG principles. Click here to see the documents related to Obton Italy Fund as Article 8.

The Obton Primo compartment currently owns a portfolio of 37 photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of 31 MWp.
The Obton Secondo compartment holds a portfolio of 57 photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of 47 MWp.

The plants in the Primo and Secondo compartments are grid-connected and operational, and are distributed across the Italian territory. The investment strategy of these compartments focuses on renewable energy, particularly on brownfield photovoltaic plants (already operational), with the objective of generating value and distributing stable, long-term cash flows to the Fund’s investors.
The acquisition of the plants was financed through project financing by Natixis, Unicredit, Intesa Sanpaolo, and—specifically for Obton Secondo—also by Ametista SPV in addition to the aforementioned pool.
